Math Websites for Subtraction

The students took their 100 addition facts quiz on Monday. Later this week we're starting multiplication.

Here are some websites where they can find some fun multiplication games to practice. I will add to the list as I find more websites. Welcome Back - Announcements for the Week

Welcome back from spring break!

Here are a few reminders for the week:

--> Thursday (April 11th) = Field trip to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier

Thank you to everyone who already turned in their permission slips and money. This will be an educational and exciting day for first and second grade!

--> Thursday = Report Card Pickup

Please stop by downstairs after school to sign and pick up your child's report card.

--> Conferences

If the school contacts you for a conference with me, please come at your scheduled time. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child's progress and steps for continued improvement over the last quarter of school and summer to prepare for third grade in the fall. (Please note: not everyone will have a spring conference; however, if you want to meet with me, please contact me directly or through the school office. Thank you!)

--> Mass

Please make sure you take your child to Mass every weekend. It is extremely important as they prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation (April 20th) and First Communion (May 11th). Thank you.

Welcome back!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you had a restful break. It's been great to see all of the students. They seem happy to see each other and eager to get back into the school routine.

Thank you for helping your children with their Reading Logs over the break! It is so important for them to read every day. Thank you also for bringing them to school on time. I am pleased to see their smiling faces at 7:45 every morning. It makes for a smoother start to the day.

Welcome to a new year: 2012-2013!

I am excited to welcome a class of 26 eager 2nd graders to our room. We have already been hard at work building a community and getting back to routines and rules. We have a strong focus on rewarding positive behavior (Bee Bucks), and we love helping each other.
